Ongoing Expenses

Breadsmith franchisees pay ongoing royalty fees ranging from 5% to 7% of gross sales.  Additional fees payable by the franchisee include training fees.

What You Get—Training and Support

Prior to opening a Breadsmith store, franchisees undergo a three-week initial training program. The training consists of many important modules taught both in the classroom setting and in a fully-operational store setting.

Franchisees spend approximately 86 hands-on hours learning the art of making artisan quality bread. From mixing, to shaping, to baking, franchisees learn how to make Breadsmith’s award-winning breads from scratch. Additionally, the Breadsmith Research & Development Manager spends approximately four hours in the classroom and six hours in the store teaching franchisees advanced dough concepts. Breadsmith franchisees also gain knowledge of Breadsmith’s critical financial operations.

Territory

Breadsmith grants exclusive territories.

Note: The tables and information regarding the number of operating units, investment required, on-going expenses, training and territory grants were taken from the company’s 2011 FDD. The 2011 write-ups will be incorporated into the 2011 Edition of Bond’s Hottest New Franchises publication.
